Steve Long

Long returned to OU following a 30 year career in the domestic and international oil & gas industry working in the U.S., Europe, West Africa, and South America.
He has a background in project economics, competitive analysis, strategic planning, and commercial negotiations in the exploration & production and natural gas & power sector.  
Steve has a special expertise in business development and has developed a broad based network of energy, banking, and government relationships.

 

He started his career with Gulf Oil conducting upstream project economics and participating in commercial negotiations in West Africa.  After the merger with Chevron, Steve went to work for Enron in financial planning & competitive intelligence and then moved into a commercial business development role in the international midstream division.  After living several years in Argentina he moved back to the United States and was recruited to Unocal as Vice President of Business Development acquiring upstream and midstream assets in South America, West Africa, and the Gulf of Mexico.  He left Unocal in 2002 to work for PFC Energy, a Washington DC based strategic advisory firm.

 

He has published research in World Pipelines forecasting changes in the U.S. natural gas marketing and pipeline activity and has served as a guest speaker to a number of professional organizations and industry conferences.

 

Steve has a B.B.A in Economic Statistics from the University of Oklahoma and an M.B.A. in International Finance from the University of Houston.

 

John Green

Green has 22 years of experience in physical and financial marketing & trading of the oil and gas industry.  He is the Managing Director of Trading for OGE Energy Resources, (OERI), the marketing and trading subsidiary of Enogex Inc. based in Oklahoma City.

 

He started his career with Phillips Petroleum and has had positions of increasing responsibility with GasMark, Aquila Energy Resources, Brooklyn InterState Natural Gas, and Statoil.

 

John has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Oklahoma State University.

 

John Grunsted

Grunsted has 23 years of experience in strategic resource planning, regulatory compliance, operations, and security initiatives related to bringing energy to the market place.

 

He started his career with the Rochester MN Public Utility as an electrical engineer and moved on to the Illinois Power Company as an Information Technology Team Leader.

 

He began his career with OG&E as a Senior Engineer in business development and

telecommunications in 1996.

 

John has a Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin and an MBA from the University of Oklahoma.

 

Paul Trimble

Trimble has 19 years of experience as an attorney in the Oil & Gas Practice Group for Oklahoma's largest law firm, representing independent and major oil and gas companies in a variety of oil and gas disputes including royalty litigation, lease cancellation actions, natural gas contract disputes, environmental litigation, and oil & gas accounting disputes.

 

In 2008 he was recognized with the inaugural William H. Keown Distinguished Lecture award in the OU Energy Management Program.

 

Paul has a Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Oklahoma and a Juris Doctor degree from the OU Law School.
